These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Vernoly mobile application and its supporting backend service (together, the “App”) provided by the developer (“Developer”, “we”, “us”). The App helps you build a personal codex of principles and check decisions against it. Please read these Terms carefully.
Our collection and use of information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the App you agree to that Privacy Policy.
Using the App requires an account (Apple, Google, email, or guest). You are responsible for the content you create — the principles, situations, and decision checks you enter. Do not enter content that infringes others’ rights, violates law, or is intended to harass or harm anyone.
The App uses third-party large-language-model providers to generate principles, surface relevant principles for a decision, and reframe situations. AI output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Treat suggestions as starting points for your own thinking, not as authoritative advice.
You may use the App only if you meet the minimum age required by your region and applicable law (typically 13+ to use, and old enough to enter a binding contract for paid features — usually 18+ or whatever your App Store region requires).
The App is for reflection, planning, and personal-development support only. It is not a medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advisory service, and does not provide diagnosis or treatment. In an emergency or crisis, contact appropriate local services or a qualified professional.
Optional subscriptions are processed by Apple, Google, and/or our subscription partner (Adapty). Fees, billing, renewals, and cancellations follow the rules of the store where you purchased. To the extent permitted by law, fees are non-refundable except as required by the store or applicable law.
Subject to these Terms, Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the App, the backend service, or its content except as allowed by mandatory law.
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from the in-app Settings screen. We may suspend or terminate access if you misuse the App or violate these Terms.
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that AI output will meet your expectations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
We may modify these Terms or the App. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate (for example via the App or store listing). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
